All New Buccaneer Wows the Crowds at NEC

The all-new Buccaneer range from Elddis, launched at the National Boat, Caravan and Outdoor Show has far exceeded original sales forecasts. Strong demand for the luxury touring caravans has led Elddis to increase production at its Consett-based factory.

The eagerly-awaited 40th Anniversary Special Limited Edition was unveiled to the press and public for the first time at the NEC show. Designed for the caravanning connoisseur, the Buccaneer combines heritage and craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology and up-to-the-minute features.

Rachel Moncrieff, Elddis’s Marketing & Communications Manager, explains the range’s immediate success: “Our core Buccaneer clientele has increased, with more customers demanding the ultimate in opulence and specification. Combined with a recent surge of retailer appointments and demand for Elddis product, this latest accomplishment shows that there are customers out there in every price sector."

Chris Whitham, Elddis’s Commercial Director added: “Our new Buccaneer models now stand alone as the ultimate luxury touring caravans. The sad demise of Fleetwood Caravans and their Heritage range has left the Buccaneer as the only true super luxury caravan built in Britain.”

Elddis has succeeded in winning over new customers who for many years have bought and enjoyed Fleetwood models. One such customer, having bought a 40th Anniversary Buccaneer Caravel explained their choice as “finely designed, engineered and finished; a first class credit to British workmanship carried out by Elddis.”

The 2009 Buccaneer 40th Anniversary Special Limited Edition range is available in 3 single axle and 2 twin axle layouts from £17,995, with a UK-wide retailer network. Newly appointed Buccaneer retailers include Caravanland near Banbury, Moorland Leisure in Stoke on Trent and Clwyd Caravans in North Wales.
